Privacy
Last updated July 2026
Elovate is built to keep what you eat private. Only your scores, streaks, and rank are social — never the meals themselves.
What's private
- Your meals. Meal photos and the individual foods you log are visible only to you. Friends and league-mates never see them.
- Meal photos are stored in a private bucket and fetched only for you, over short-lived signed links.
What's social
- Your rating, tier, current streak, and weekly league points — these are what leaderboards and invites show.
- Your username and display name, so friends can find and challenge you. You can make your profile private in Settings, which keeps you off public leaderboards.
What we never do
- Elovate scores food quality, never calories or weight. There is no weigh-in, no body metrics.
- We don't sell your data, and brands can't pay to change a score.
Photos & AI
When you photo-scan a meal, the image is sent to our scoring service to identify and rate the food. It is used only to score that meal and is stored in your private photo history.
Your control
You can delete any meal, and you can delete your entire account (with all meals, photos, scores, and social connections) at any time from the profile screen. Deletion is permanent.
